Working Toward Zero Waste
We proudly support the sustainability goals of Gardner-Webb University. Here are a few active initiatives.
Robust Recycling
Make a difference and join us in our efforts to recycle more cardboard, metal, paper, glass, and accepted plastic products. Wherever possible, let's recycle.
Collaborative Composting
We are teaming up with Reusepass to eliminate trash waste generated by takeout food containers. This provides sturdier and less wasteful green reusable containers and will help Gardner Webb work towards a more sustainable future.
Proactive Prevention
We use tracking and forecasting tools to proactively identify food waste trends in order to alter our preparation accordingly.

Gardner-Webb Food Co. sources food from many local farmers, growers, and distributors. Our partners change throughout the year depending on seasonality and availability.

Gardner Webb Food Co. partners with our local NC farmers to produce fruits in our Residential dining location.

Tractor Beverage is made with only real ingredients. Each Tractor Beverage is crafted exclusively from certified organic, non GMO ingredients using time honored methods. Enjoy the certified organic, flavorful drinks to feel good about at The Caf.

Bulldog Cares Food Pantry
Bulldog Cares is a joint venture led by Gardner Webb Student Development, Student Success and Financial Planning. The fund seeks to assist Gardner Webb students by providing financial support intended to prevent students from leaving the University for emergency financial reasons.
